Last Jedi Reviews

In Los Angeles, California, the world premiere of The Last Jedi has led to a Twitter storm of positive comments, respecting the review embargo imposed by Disney and not revealing any spoilers.

“It’s AMAZING. Just amazing. Have a lot to process, but WOW,” wrote The Hollywood Reporter’s Ryan Parker.

Others were just as enthusiastic, stating it “does not get better than” the Last Jedi, which is “the best Star Wars movie since the original trilogy”.

The same user adds: “Maybe the best since Empire”, while another lucky viewer says it is “the best Star Wars movie” overall.

“The Last Jedi is absolutely fantastic – gripping, touching, funny and powerful w/ gorgeous shots and the most badass battles,” wrote Fandango’s Erik Davis.

“When it gets going, holy crap does it get going.

Some viewers came very close to violating the embargo, describing how scenes from the film made them feel.

“There’s a scene in The Last Jedi that I keep playing over and over in my head, that is so stunning and unexpected that I don’t want to forget how I felt seeing it for the first time,” wrote one user.

“This movie feels unlike any other Star Wars movie in all the ways I hoped.”

Overall, the worst thing first screeners have said about the film is that it drags a little mid-way through.

“A little too long & dragged in the middle, but great fun overall!” wrote Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz.

“As good as The Force Awakens; Rogue One is better! More humour than expected.”

“BEWARE of spoilers. The Last Jedi sneaks up on you in ways you will not expect. I’ve never seen apparent plot holes wielded as surprise attacks,” wrote another.
